A Sabbath Rhythm: If God Will Send His Angels

This week for a Sabbath Rhythm I chose a song to remind us that Sabbath is for connecting, perhaps even experiencing rest from the anxiety and restlessness in our lives.  In a time of unrest we want rest.  In a time of war, peace.  This song speaks to me in profound ways.  I hope it will for you too.

New Music - Coldplay Viva La Vida

I have been waiting for today for some time.  Coldplay released their new ablum "Viva La Vida" today.  I have listened to almost all of it.  It is great.  I especially like the songs:

"Viva La Vida,
Violent Hill,
Lost
Strawberry Swing". 

This album has a different sound than the previous "X&Y", but it is a great album.  If you are a Coldplay fan you will love this album and if you are not a fan this album will make you a fan.

Monday's Remedy: Fix You

Music is one of those universal languages.  Music brings color into another wise black and white laden world.  In my opinion Coldplay happens to be one of the great bands of my time, that moves us through their sounds, lyrics, thoughts to reflect on deeper truths.  The musical arrangement in this song moves you to really focus on the words and their meaning as they reflect in us.  And, like any great song it moves something inside of us.  I heard Chris Martin describe this song as Coldplay's attempt at a gospel song.  I'll let you decide what kind of good news it gives rise in your life.

Monday's Remedy

This Monday, I wanted to share the song "Grace" from U2.  If you listen to the words I hope you find yourself in them.  Our need for grace.  How it makes beauty out of ugly things.  Enjoy the pictures too.
